armed security jobs

I am working on my way to become an armed security guard.I just completed the 8 hrs and part B of 16 hrs courses. My last job’s (at NYC) duties are very similar to a security guard’s duty, access control, patrol on foot or by car, customer services, and direct traffic. However,my last job have a different title:Traffic Attendant instead of security guard, only makes 8.50 / hr.I decided to become an armed security guard and earns at least 13 or above per hour. How much does an armed or unarmed security guard earns at NYC?I own a handgun when I was living at FL.I do not have any criminal record.I should have no problem getting the armed security guard license, right? In addition, what types of business other than armor bank car need an armed security guard?Does a person have to go thought a security company to get an armed security guard?Or he can just post it online, monster.com for example and just hire a license armed security guard?(for personal protection or his business)
Thanks for help!

The leader of AQI was killed 31 Aug 07 (see my blog)
al-Masri was a personal associate of al-Zawahari (AQ #2) and is the second or third AQI “emir” to be killed in Iraq.

This was reported today by the MNF-PAO following confirmation.
1st Answerer(poorly named): Perhaps, you have no appreciation for what al-Masri or Al-Qaeda do. Perhaps you fail to understand that their tactics and targets are anti-islamic.

Perhaps, you would like to fill the job but just don’t know OBL/Zawahari personally.

Perhaps you should not make assumptions about me. Al-Qaeda, including AQI are some of the lowest scum on earth. They are despicable to all decent human beings of any religion or ethnicity. And everything in this post reflects the type of people they will look for to fill the position.

68% of Arizona Voters Favor Sheriff Who Gets Tough on Immigration
Thursday, March 19, 2009

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/states_general/arizona/68_of_arizona_voters_favor_sheriff_who_gets_tough_on_immigration

Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Arizona voters have a favorable view of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose aggressive enforcement of laws against illegal immigration have triggered an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice. Forty-six percent (46%) view the sheriff very favorably.

Just 26% have an unfavorable opinion of Arpaio, including 16% who are very unfavorable, according to a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Arizona voters. Seven percent (7%) are not sure.

Arizona voters also strongly approve of some of the tactics the sheriff employs to fight illegal immigration and crime related to it.

Seventy-four percent (74%), for example, believe that when a police officer pulls someone over for a traffic violation, they should automatically check to see if that person is in the country legally. Twenty-one percent (21%) disagree. These numbers are virtually identical to national findings on the same question.
====================================================================================
“These numbers are virtually identical to national findings on the same question.” Joe Arpaio is on the front lines of this battle the Federal Government refused to fight and he is winning with a good job! Janet Napolitano doesn’t want the battle fought, and Nancy Pelosi doesn’t want that battle fought either. The Citizens do.. and they are the one who are not behind the security fences that stop their cars from being stolen, and their homes entered in the middle of the night. Where do Napolitano and Pelosi get off?

Shouldn’t we support Joel Arpaio as best we can? Let Pelosi fly around in Military Aircraft and support Arpaio as Homeland Security Director?

Would you ask your congress person to make Joe Arapio the head of Homeland Security..please?

my brother has a hearing coming up on Monday. The mother of his 3 kids applied for support. He doesn’t have a job so he doesn’t have proof of income. However he picks up the kids at 8am every morning and returns them to her at 6pm on Mon, wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday he returns them at 7:30pm because she works late. He also keeps the kids overnight twice a week.
He volunteers at the daycare affiliated with my church for several hours everyday. In return, the two older kids are allowed to attend the camp for free.
He recieved the letter about the hearing on Tuesday and his hearing is on Monday(6days later).
Should he bring anything with him other than social security card and id? The director of the daycare is wrtting him a character letter to take with him to the hearing.
I already know that he needs to get a job and I keep encouraging him to do so. Therefor, I’m just looking for some advice on what to expect when he goes. Wondering if they’ll assign support now or give him a certain amount of time to find employment.
Should he ty

Does anyone know a good site that i can use to help me find EMT courses in my area? Better yet, anyone know of any places that offer the classes near Morris Illinois? Its about 45 minutes southwest of Chicago. I have read online that part of the classes can be taken online then every month go to a training center but i don’t want to go that route unless i have to. I have to become EMT certified to start my new job as Asst. Director of Security and Safety at a nuclear plant. I need to get it asap so if you know anything please let me know! Thanks!!
I know that i’m going to have to go to a training site…just the problem is a lot of the online training programs aren’t based near me and I’d have to fly to wherever the training center was. That means time off work and lots of money spent in airfare.

armed security jobs

I saw a job opening for a security job either unarmed or armed. I am not physically strong at all. I’m interested in becoming an unarmed security guard. What do unarmed security guards do? Are they just responsible for only calling in disputes to the police? Is being an armed security guard more dangerous than an unarmed security guard? What is the difference between the two? Should I even consider about being one because of my lack of muscle? Do unarmed security guards get into brawls? I’m interested because the pay is good. Please help, full credit to best answer!

network security jobs

I’ve been doing desktop troubleshooting and helpdesk work for about 5 years now, and I just got a job doing it for the State (responsible for about 25,000 users). However, the job seems to be a dead-end and i’m looking for advice on what would be the best way to cross-train my way to an overall IT management position (Preferably something along the lines of security, but i’ll go where the 100k jobs are). Any ideas besides just getting my certs and hoping someone gives me a shot? Should I just stay with this new job and work towards management? Learn a few programming languages? Thanks.
